Vera Wang for David's Bridal

I was excited to see that Vera Wang has recently created a line of bridesmaid dresses for David's Bridal. They are nicely designed, inexpensive, and available in a wider range of sizes than most "off the rack" bridesmaids dresses. I think this is a step in the right direction for David's Bridal and bridesmaids dresses in general. There really aren't enough affordable and wearable options out there.

Gay Marriage Legalized in New York!

Congrats to the state of New York for legalizing gay marriage today! This is a great step forward for our country and for the many same sex couples wanting to legalize their union. Everyone should have the opportunity to marry whomever they want and to make their own dream wedding come true!

BHLDN Mood Board

BHLDN is the new online bridal shop from the same company that created Anthropologie, so of course I was eager to check it out. There are lots of pretty, vintage inspired dresses, shoes and accessories. One of the neat parts is that they allow you to create your own mood boards on their site. Below is a mood board I created called Clouds and Petals. It reminds me of a gray day with rain drenched petals brightening up the landscape.

Gina and Garrett, February 19

Gina and Garrett were married on February 19 at St. Peter's Chapel on Mare Island. They held their reception at the Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek, California. Country Peach Inspiration Board

I'm so excited about my first attempt at a wedding inspiration board. Here it is! I call it Country Peach. It's a mix of English countryside, vintage, and lace using a peach and green color combination. I'm sure there will be more to come, as I can see how this will become addicting! So much fun!

Vintage Lace

Weddings bring out the romantic in all of us, and nothing is quite as romantic to me as vintage lace. There are so many ways to incorporate it into your day, from a modern lace and chain necklace to a vintage lacy wedding dress. It could even be added to decor such as bouquets, tablecloths, or escort cards. Adding just a little bit of lace goes a long way, and it's a great way to add some depth to a more modern styled wedding.

Winter Weddings
